How to Pray With Your Children in Everyday Life

Teaching Different Types of Prayer to Kids 💡

Introduce children to the variety of ways we can pray:

Praise: Thanking God for who He is.

Confession: Saying sorry for mistakes.

Thanksgiving: Gratitude for blessings.

Supplication: Asking God for help.

Use the ACTS method (Adoration, Confession, Thanksgiving, Supplication) as an easy teaching tool.

“This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us”

(1 John 5:14).

Creating a Family Prayer Routine 🏡

A consistent routine helps your children see prayer as natural and essential.

👉Set a family prayer time: Could be after dinner or before bed.

👉Include Scripture: Read one verse, then pray together.

👉Keep it short: Especially for younger children.

👉Make it joyful: Sing a song, share highs and lows of the day, and pray about them.

When kids see prayer as part of the family culture, it becomes a lifelong habit.
